da leao: According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham defender Danny Rose has his heart set on a big money move to Manchester United.
What’s the Story?
da bwin: Danny Rose will snub an approach from Chelsea to fulfill his dream of playing for Manchester United, according to reports.
The 27-year-old, who is valued at £25.2million by Transfermarkt, has been out of action since January with injury and has made a number of public comments that have angered both Tottenham fans and the club hierarchy.
Rose has never hidden his desire to return up to his native north and a move to Old Trafford could well be on the cards.
Would Rose be a good fit for Manchester United?
It’s no secret that Manchester United are lacking in the left-back department, not in terms of numbers but rather quality. Daley Blind and Marcus Rojo have both performed admirably in the role, but neither are natural full-backs.
Furthermore, Luke Shaw has failed to improve on his once exciting young career. The former Southampton man now looks to surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
Therefore, Danny Rose would be a quality addition who could mirror the pace, strength and offensive abilities shown by United’s other full-back Antonio Valencia.
Are Tottenham willing to sell Rose?
The 27-year-old has made no secret of his desire to improve his career and potentially leave Tottenham. In fact, some of his comments have turned a minority of Spurs fans against him.
With Ben Davies performing so well whilst Rose has faced a long spell on the sidelines with injury, Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy would likely consider a bid, especially if it generates a healthy transfer fee for the club.
