De Bock strengthens a left-back position that was in dire need of improvement, but fans feel they should have done more to buff up their attacking ranks.
In defence, the arrival of Jordan Willis seems to have helped Jack Ross finally find a settled centre-back pairing, as the former Coventry man has partnered Alim Ozturk thus far.
Up front, the club have added Marc McNulty to Charlie Wyke and Will Grigg to supply the goals, but they did little to fix their lack of creativity.
The only midfield signing was George Dobson, who is more of a tenacious ball-winner than he is a playmaker, and Ross may yet again find himself short of creativity in the middle of the park.
