In the closing stages of Real's wild 2-2 draw with Valencia on Saturday, Diakhaby was injured in horrifying circumstances. As Aurelien Tchouameni ran into the box, he appeared to lose his balance and fell on Diakhaby, with his whole weight seemingly bending the Valencia defender's leg. All players on the pitch appeared genuinely distraught at the sight of the injury, and he needed to be stretchered off.

Valencia took a valuable point from the game, having taken a 2-0 lead. Hugo Duro and Roman Yaremchuk scored in the first half before a Vinicius Jr brace saw Real salvage a draw. But thoughts, naturally, will turn towards Diakhaby's health.
