da prosport bet: Cheap and cheerful.
da doce: That’s probably the best way to describe Dan Crowley’s start to his time at Birmingham City.
The midfielder signed for the Blues from Dutch side Willem II for a reported fee of £700k in the summer and has settled in incredibly well into life with his new club.
He’s made an appearance in ten of the team’s eleven games and has contributed two assists in the process, including a nice cross for Odin Bailey’s winner against Middlesbrough last Friday.
Even if it has necessitated a move out to the right-wing to get the best out of him, adding both of his assists from that role, at least you can say he’s making an impact even if it isn’t his natural position.
Journalist Brian Dick asked Blues fans for their thoughts on Crowley and his time in the Second City so far, and it’s fair to say that the reviews for him were incredibly positive indeed.
It makes you wonder why so few people were interested in him in the summer, especially given the price they managed to pay for him. It looks like a lot of other clubs missed a trick in letting him slip under their radars if this is how he’s being welcomed.
